theres nothing at all wrong with many of those bands. sometimes a sense of humor is required for a few but thats how you understand the true joy of their music. Plus where would the world be without most of them. Therefore they rock.

i will politely disagree , europe is not a so bad its good band for one and one reason only , the track is called “the time has come”, it was recently featured in HOT ROD during the credits i believe, anyway..if you listen to how perfectly dramatic and 80s this tune is, you will fall for the band you had never even heard of or cared about all over again…

You will be SHOCKED to discover that Europe’s lead singer Joey Tempest was an incredibly prolific songwriter throughout the band’s career.

Pre-Countdown “Wings of Tomorrow” is actually damn aggressive with lots of creative guitar shredding, while the Countown follow-up “Out of This World” is chock full of even more hits.

Swedish metal has always and will always F’N RULE!!!

Well, they certainly did something right, I just find the combo of metal and religion to be so strange. Hardcore metal heads didn’t approve and they still received backlash from religious groups who didn’t appreciate having metal associated with Christianity. But I guess if religion approves of your music, you’re in big trouble….

On a purely vintage note, Stryper has reprinted some of their 80’s designs, and were selling them on tour the last few years. Say what you want, yes, they weren’t Slayer, but they are still around, making new music and pretty good musicians as well. Very nice guys actually!
