After posting Can I Make a Vintage T-Shirt a Size Bigger? I did a little more research on the legitimacy of the Household Hacker tutorials. I used the Google, watched even more ridiculous claims, ie, How to Power a TV With a AAA Battery, and then read their YouTube feedback. My hopes of resurrecting a shirt-too-small shrunk faster than a brand new shirt in the dryer.
Originally I had planned testing this on many different t-shirts, varying in age, fabric blends, even color – complimented by a photo shoot during the various stages. Instead, I kept-it-simple-stupid and tested it on a 100% cotton tee. I was still static-clinging to hope. Mainly because they also throw in the odd tutorial that actually works, so I crossed my fingers that this would be one of them.
These pranksters have put in a lot of work in to posting bogus tutorials that are quasi-believable because of simple camera trickery. I guess it’s kind of funny. They should at least have the sense not to suggest methods that encourage people to waste lots of power and water. Even worse, many of their videos suggest altering electronics, the use of power and other potentially dangerous things. They better come up with a How to Break Out Of Prison video, because eventually someone is going to hurt themselves as a result. At least that’s what Grandma says!
And speaking of Grandma – her un-shrink technique is still the only proven method:
Wash the garment. While it’s still damp gently stretch it from opposite sides of the fabric, in every direction – then hang dry it. Once the shirt is dry, call your mother, she misses you. Oh, and my arthritis is acting up again!

Here comes the final part on the Air Max ST and then we close this chapter. This post about the technical details about this shoe, and I (we) are always curious about how Nike handles these in their retros…If somebody of Nike is reading this blog, which I doubt, but anyway, I would just like to know if Nike retro shoes to the same standards as when they first released…
As you can see in the “dissection” of this shoe, these air max ST were one of the finest and most complex shoes at that moment….

As you can see they have the same sort of “footbridge” as the Air stab had back in the days, and even a bigger air unit then the Air max from 1990…
Also, when you have the air max St in your hands, it doesn’t weight a lot, you can hardly feel that you have a shoe in your hands….
Enjoy the pics of the originals from 1992…

As a kid I always admired Agassi.. well, to be honest, I more admired his outfits and his shoes then the game he was playing. Although, the Air Tech Challenge I and II are my favorites, I am always fascinated by the ATC III.
I had to wait 20 years before i could finally have the complete set of his “neon” time, although I am still missing the bandana and the spandex innershorts which apparently somebody cut out these new shorts….
Yes I am a fanatic!
