Happy birthday to Hugh Hefner. Born on April 9th, 1926, now 85 and still living the dream. I recently saw a doc about Hef called Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist, Rebel. Not only does it contain tons of amazing vintage footage but it will change the way you think of him. He’s still a perverted old dude, but so much more.

Let’s talk about sex. Specifically some sex that occurred around July 1963. Happy birthday to Cheryl James, aka Salt, who was born on March 28th, 1964 (actually many sites report she was born on the 8th, if so, Happy Belated!) Salt N Pepa is the all time best selling female rap act with six of their singles achieving platinum or gold.

A vintage tee gallery inspired by today’s date.
On March 27th, 1989 baseball legend Pete Rose’s gambling activities were exposed by Sports Illustrated. Pete denied the allegations for fifteen years, finally admitting to it in 2004. Despite being a shoe in for the Hall of Fame (current NL all time hit record, among others) his ban from baseball could mean he may never qualify for Cooperstown.
