If you spend over $150 at Wyco they’ll hook you up with one of their fancy branded t-shirts for free! And now is the best time to buy – they just put over 2000 t-shirts on sale at 30% off. If you prefer trying your luck at auctions, keep your eyes peeled – they’re releasing a series of them in the coming weeks.

Vintage Heat and Defunkd (in blog format) began around the same time in 2008 and we immediately became link partners given our mutual passion/obsession with vintage gear. Plus, a vintage tee and a pair of old Nikes is a damn complimentary style, a-la DJ AM, need we say more?
I checked in with VH daily as Karl explored the trials and tribulations of collecting in the vintage Nike universe. eBay Buyer, seller, occasional wearer – Vintage Heat documents this niche hobby through the eyes of a Nike expert. But much to my and many readers’ dismay the blog went dormant last year as Karl began trotting the globe. Then the internet vultures swooped in and began spamming every post’s comment section.
We are pleased to announce that we recently acquired this epic vintage Nike site and made it a part of Defunkd viewable through our Nike category. We wanted to preserve and protect its legacy as one of the best resources of vintage Nikes on the web. In honor of this union we’re also starting a new gallery section to document vintage Nike t-shirts.
Big thanks to Karl for all his hard work and best of luck to him on all his future projects.

Oi, geezers! Sid-Vintage just began a major auction haul that will continue until summer officially sets in. Nike, Harley, trucks, motorcycles and football – all the things that make guys grunt are available. Plus a wicked rock tee selection is up for grabs and everything starts at $15. Check in once a week for new additions.

Attention Mateys! The crew over at The Captain’s Vintage is hosting a sale until midnight Saturday May 7th. Use the code “SPRING11″ to receive a Defunkd discount. Plenty of hidden treasures to be found including the Adidas jacket that inspired the Defunkd color scheme and stripes. I wish it was my size.

These jerseys are popping up more and more often and being passed off as legit vintage. I did a little digging around and suspect Mahagamage is marketed at people in Japan given it commonly appears among Yahoo! Japan auctions. Another search highlights a gentleman by the name of Susil “Tony” Mahagamage who just so happens to be in the vintage business. He works for Denim King Vintage Wholesalers – Transatlantic Mixrags and most likely has ties to it. Perhaps a vintage inspired side business to his flourishing used clothing operation? Although no where online is he directly linked to the t-shirt brand but if he isn’t it would be one heck of a coincidence. He’s also located in Los Angeles which makes sense given the Tiny Pony/Academy Clothiers gang use Mahagamage for a lot of their bootlegs (label removed of course.) We’ve contacted Tony and others at his company to get the scoop, check the comments section for updates.

Below is what the seller of this item had to say in the description. Notice how many times they drive home the point of the shirt being real. A wee bit overkill? This has to be the most ridiculous description I have ever encountered for a t-shirt that clearly isn’t vintage. It has bids – hopefully it doesn’t fetch a lot.
