eBay Seller: vintage retro wear
Years of Service: 9
Policies: If you arent happy I’ll fix it.
Motto: “I like my beer cold, stereo loud and tees Deadstock.”
Very few vintage t-shirt stores on eBay can boast almost 10 years of consistency with over 100k stellar transactions – but Vintage Retro Wear can. Truth be told, this operation was one I spied on quite frequently for Defunkd inspiration. I was amazed at how they always had an uncanny supply of mint, yet true vintage t-shirts. Later I would come to realize it was the result of the illusive dead-stock aka NOS discovery. Matt from VRW has managed to make a few of the biggest deadstock discoveries by a vintage t-shirt prospector, two warehouses jam packed with them.
Matt’s foray in to the world of vintage started with a guilty conscious, “I donated all of my rock tees to Salvation Army in the late 90s before I realized their value” he confesses. A few years later he rescued so many vintage tees that he was actually capable of outfitting an army; so his debt to vintage society was paid in full.
VRW also carries a wicked selection of rock collectibles (wallets, bandanas) as well as vintage clothing from head to toe. The most expensive t-shirt in their store is a vintage Transcelestians tee coming in at paltry $29,000 with plenty of gems in the $15-50 range.

eBay Seller: wyco vintage
Years of Service: 2
Policies: Honesty is the best policy.
Motto: “Too legit to quit.”
Wyco stormed on the eBay vintage scene a few years ago and has since carved out one badass vintage t-shirt store. Some say (I know I do) they have the largest selection of 100% true vintage rock t-shirts on eBay.
The Wyco outfit is operated by Patrick and Mehgan (left, at Ratt/Poison jam) who take the utmost pride in the authenticity of their inventory. They think of themselves as curators of a poly-cotton museum rather than t-shirt shopkeepers. Their care for each garment begins with a meticulous inspection where even the tiniest of imperfections are clearly highlighted in each listing. And at any time during the transaction customer inquires are encouraged and answered immediately given the team are always tuned in via mobile. Their process has obviously been well received given their perfect feedback score.
The most expensive t-shirt in their store is a vintage Seditionaries Snow White tee coming in at $1500 with plenty of rock gems in the $20-50 range.

eBay Seller: american archive
Years of Service: 2
Policies: They strive for 5 stars.
Motto: “Quality vintage clothing for guys & girls.”
I first stumbled across American Archive about a year ago when I pitted some sellers against each other for the best facial hair on eBay title. I still think Casey’s legendary beard should have taken home the coveted prize so I encouraged him to stick to his dream. But ever since the heartbreaking loss on that chilly September day, sadly, Casey has trimmed a lot of his mane away. American Archive on the other hand, has undergone some serious growth.
Casey represents one half of the American Archive store which also offers an equal selection of vintage clothing for women. His partner (and wife) Rachel operates on the other side of the camera and behind the scenes. The couple go on picking missions together each responsible for buying for their respective sex while also providing opposite sex insight on each others selections. Just one of the many reasons they operate one of the best unisex vintage stores on eBay made evident by their stellar feedback. I really dig the store’s design, navigation and nicely photographed inventory.
The most expensive t-shirt in their store is a vintage 3D Emblem trucker tee coming in at $129 with plenty of tees for under $20 and the rest of their inventory is just as reasonably priced.

eBay Seller: Stormcrow-Vintage
Years of Service: 6
Policies: Guaranteed vintage - return for any reason.
Motto: “We sold our soul for rock n roll t-shirts.”
Good ol’ Stormcrow-Vintage has been one of eBay’s most consistent and trusted dealers of genuine vintage tees for the past 6 years. They broke the vintage t-shirt seller norm by allowing returns for any reason, yes, this even includes sizing. Their slick practices have earned them a flawless feedback score and near perfect DSR record, an amazing feat, especially with the recent changes to eBay’s feedback system.
Stormcrow has a constant flow of vintage tees in both auction and fixed price format which usually number at least 250 at any one given time. They specialize in 1980s band shirts – all forms of rock, punk and pop. They definitely like to dabble in the dark side given their wicked selection of vintage horror film t-shirts.
Their highest priced tee is a rare 1976 Stones Knebworth t-shirt at $10,000 but worry not, they run plenty of auctions that usually start at 1 cent.
