Album: Countdown to Extinction
Date: 1992
Fact: The single Symphony of Destruction is one of Megadeth’s best sellers. It received heavy rotation on MTV, but eventually got censored because of a scene that involves a political assassination scene.

Year: 1984
Album: Kill ‘Em All
Fact: Metal Militia is one of Metallica’s fastest songs, the namesake for the band as well as a series of Metallica tribute albums. The track has been credited to Hetfield and Ulrich but it’s rumored to have primarily been written by Dave Mustaine.

Fact: Despite being one of the bands (and fans) least favorite albums (due to its slower and melodic pitch) SOH peaked at #57 on Billboard and was certified gold in 1992.

Album: Killing Is My Business… and Business Is Good!
Date: 1985
Fact: Megadeth was given $8,000 to record this debut album and spent most of it on drugs and alcohol. They ended up producing the album themselves.
