Got my first bit of hate mail via ebay today.
After receiving an inquiry about a pretty pricey shirt, I got pretty excited and wrote a well thought out note explaining the evidence that proves the shirt was exactly as I had stated in the listing.
The guy wrote back saying there was no way to prove it wasn't a remake and that I'm a a-hole for trying to sell something like that.
I'm sure others have dealt with this type of thing before?

Re: Dealing with the hatersYup - I used to get emails like that all the time..some pretty nasty. Just part of the gig. People get frustrated when something they want is out of their price range and don't understand the market. Just delete the email and forget about it - they will never be converted in to a customer and you'll just waste time and energy on them.

Re: Dealing with the hatersmay I ask what the tee was?
Re: Dealing with the hatersThat Dead tee is totally legit!
As someone who worked in the screen printing industry all through the 80's and part of the 90's I have a pretty discerning eye. The patina on the print of your tee can't be faked even though many continue to try. There's no substitute for 20+ years of age. Additionally the high quality of the printing is another indicator it's the real thing. I wouldn't spend any time worrying about "haters". Some people just don't get it and never will.
Re: Dealing with the hatersThanks for the support Johnny.
Yeah, there's no way this shirt could be a fake. It just feels different than anything modern day, and the print is just beautiful. Measurements, tag, and copyright all measure up. Fits well too! :) MaxVintage

Re: Dealing with the hatersThat's the best when they still fit. So many of the best vintage rock tees are just way too small for us guys.
Re: Dealing with the hatersi still get about one a year singing this tune: "you're selling thrift store junk for a profit, shame on you"
shame on you for taking a calculated risk based on expertise and selling something for more than you spent on it, western civilization.
