I bought one of these Black Flag shirts from rainbowgasoline a while back and noticed another one had been posted up. If this shirt isn’t a phony, I don’t know what is, frankly. The screen printing is raised and too-good-of-new-to-be-true. I have sent the seller a polite and genteel Q informing him of my suspicions, but so far, no answer. I think someone took a pile of period-correct Screen Stars shirts and silkscreened a Pettibon flyer on the suckers. If it were genuine, why wouldn’t the seller be charging out the roof for it, given that he clearly knows what the value of the real deal would potentially be?

Re: Modern Day Bootleggers?Spoofing champion. I haven't seen any of the original Mahagamage tags since the Tiny Pony era. Beware, Mahagamage obviously models their stuff after true vintage so this jersey could be used for evil.

Re: Modern Day Bootleggers? Before reading this thread, I was looking at some of AC listings and was a bit suspicious. I simply asked if a shirt was original and about the tag, but received no answer. I decided to bid anyway and just take the risk only to find they had blocked me from bidding on their items. Guess they work on a "don't ask don't tell" policy.
Re: Modern Day Bootleggers?Yipppp - they were still running the humpty t-shirts through their account two years after we confirmed they were bogus. They have no shame. Tiny Pony in disguise.

Re: Modern Day Bootleggers?A classic mahagammage knock off not only evidenced by the tag with the name, but by the piss poor screen print job. I think I made better ones in high school graphics class.

Re: Modern Day Bootleggers?Looks like TinaLove1991 has either moved to a new account or there's a new player peddling their merch.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/kyle1306924/m.h ... 4340.l2562 Tina's inventory is 0 right now, maybe the multiple reports finally resulted in eBay warning them. JJ

Re: Modern Day Bootleggers?Check my post blow this one about an etsy bootlegger.
Re: Modern Day Bootleggers?Dont think thats tinalove. For one the location is set as Philadelphia, (not that that means anything) and second Ive never seen TL reproduce those shirts (all awful quality bootlegs to boot) but also this seller seems to have a couple genuine vintage tees mixed in. Probably someone that doesnt know the difference or care.
Re: Modern Day Bootleggers?Looks like there's a new booter in town - well - he's been at it for a while - goes about it very quietly only offering 1-2 at a time.
Quite obvious at this point he/she's printing on white vintage blanks using a machine - because he/she mainly offers black and white prints. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-80s-CIRCLE- ... 878wt_1378 even the close-ups look horrible. The rare color one that's available he/she doesn't offer a close-up of the design...wonder why? http://www.ebay.com/itm/80s-vtg-BLACK-S ... 500wt_1378 grandpas_golf welcome to our list! http://www.ebay.com/sch/grandpas_golf/m ... ksid=p3686 JJ
