Italia Harley Tee

Postby #1citizen on Thu Jan 07, 2010 12:20 pm

Hello...

This tee is up on ebay right now. It's not getting a lot of attention. Thought I'd ask what the consensus was on it? I've never seen one before. Looks older but that's all I know...

That tag looks so familiar, but I can't quite place it...but definitely not older than 80s. It has an odd length measurement too...21" from back of neck to bottom. That's really short, It always helps if people can wear it, the bigger the better - that's pretty much an XS length. Probably a belly shirt...may have been altered.

You must be a giant JimmyJ! It definately has not been altered and is not a "belly shirt". I tried it on just now and I'm 5'10", 165 pounds... fits tight but I could wear it. Admittedly, it's a bit short for me but it touches my belt.

I agree, not older than 80s.

Any thoughts on HD Italia though?

haha. Hmmm, In my experience 21" is an unusual length for a tee with an 18" chest. Unless that's the front collar to bottom - but you clearly state the "nape" (which I had to Google..good word).

No idear about the Italia...but a lot of Harley collectors like to keep things American. Unless they are bashing Japan. And it's a pretty basic print for the 80s. Although, it also wouldn't surprise me if it fetched a decent amount because I've never seen one like it before. How many watchers?

I think you're right about the american made thing. I did a little google for Italian HD but didn't find much about older bikes off the top so I lost interest.

I had written in the auction that I thought it was a medium but changed it to small which IS more accurate.

Only 1 watcher. So, who knows. I can always use it to change my oil. ...just kidding.

Thanks for letting me pick your brain!
