No, I don't mean redyeing or chopping up vintage tees, you guys can relax.
I wonder if you guys alter your stuff at all? I've had the seams/ fabric on shirts give way in the past and usually toss them at that point. Also, I've outgrown jackets, but don't really feel comfortable altering classic leathers. Do you guys usually trade them away, alter your stuff or rock it until it's unwearable?

Re: Altering Your Vintage ClothingCertainly I wouldn't alter anything if it had any major resale value.
Re: Altering Your Vintage ClothingMost of my "alterations" are laundering accidents. I picked up an Elvis tee with a stain on the back last week, so I tried to treat it and then let it soak. BAD IDEA. The stain seeped from the back of the garment to the front. Ugggh!
I don't think that fixing loose stitching is a big deal but when it comes to bigger issues like stains and holes sometimes tossing it is the only practical option.
Re: Altering Your Vintage ClothingNo alterations here. If it doesn't fit. I sell it.
Treating stains is tricky though. I've had some accidents that ruined the garment Wörn75 http://worn75.tumblr.com/
