Re: Is ebay the best site to get the most $ for a rare tee?

Yeah I agree. The only reason to sell something at auction nowadays is when you KNOW you'll get a bidding war. Never hope you will. I've sold some incredibly rare stuff over the years at auction. If it's a smaller target market then your items might sell for much less than they're worth. If you know...

Re: Grateful Dead Avalon 1966 - assume repro

For this shirt in particular it won't make any difference. The copyright is not the same as when it was made but most people would be able to date yours and the other one for sale on Etsy to the same time period by looking at the tag. Don't think people really care what wording is on the print as lo...

It doesn't make any difference.
Just means they were probably printed at different places that used different brand blanks.

Re: Grateful Dead Avalon 1966 - assume repro

Someone else has the exact same shirt for sale on Etsy for just under $50USD.
It's likely worth about that.

Re: Grateful Dead Avalon 1966 - assume repro

Really depends on the clientele and location. I've been selling at vintage shops for years. Some things you can sell for much more than you would selling online. Other things you might only be able to get half the price you would online. You need to work out what YOUR customers would be happy to pay.

Re: What year is this label from

A bunch of the band t-shirts I bought back in the early 2000's had this exact same tag.
FOTL definitely did double tags (with HEAVY cotton) from the mid 90's but the lettering and logo were a bit different I think.

Re: Dead Stock 1984 Harley Tee?

Looks real to me but is it a heat transfer?
Roach produced most of the cool looking t-shirt transfers, right?

They are selling well in the physical shop. Especially in summer (it's winter here now). Hardly sold any online though.

Re: Metallica - Kill 'Em All

I'd be jumping on that €350 in a heartbeat. I sold something a few months ago that had no comparable sales prices. Had it listed at auction and someone offered me $250+AUD for it (outside of eBay), which I thought was a more than fair offer. I just refused to sell it to him as the auction had alread...

Re: Greetings from Australia

The Australian eBay market for vintage band t-shirts is VERY strong at the moment. I pretty much never see anything sell for peanuts unless it's very poorly advertised or just not desirable. I think one problem is that a lot of people are expecting too much money for things. There are t-shirts that ...
