Re: Grateful Dead 1987 SPACE YOUR FACE + tie-dye questions

Beauty print! I would try pricing higher with offers. There's some 90s dyes thats fetch in the $400 range...so worth a shot. I have a feeling those are being driven by celebs wearing them...and right now baggy is the style...so given its 80s size...may not apply but still great for GD collectors. I...

Re: Who the Fuck is Mick Jagger? tee

Me again. I see your Hanes guide IDs this tag as early 90s, which is super helpful, thanks. I'm also seeing it on certain (other) tees online as 80s (and a 1991). Does that sound about right? I assume that'd affect the value vs. a contemporary shirt.

Who the Fuck is Mick Jagger? tee

Yes, I realize versions of this are available basically new, but with a FOTL tag. This particular one seems vintage in feel, thinness, shape. It came from a collection of mostly 70s/80s Stones tees and memorabilia. The tag is Hanes 100% Cotton. Appreciate any info on WHEN it could be from, and value...

Grateful Dead 1987 SPACE YOUR FACE + tie-dye questions

OK, this one I feel confident is from 1987, but several things about it I'm unsure about. Grateful Dead 1987 SPACE YOUR FACE Templeton © 1987 Grateful Dead Merchandising tie-dye tag: Stedman Super Hi-Cru 100% Cottom USA Large Two mysteries about this tee: 1) most of the ones I found online had print...

Grateful Dead Avalon 1966 - assume repro

I assume this Grateful Dead Family Dog 1966 Avalon tee is a repro, based on the Hanes Beefy T tag and the way it feels, etc.

Might it be 80s?

And, value?

thanks! (another Dead shirt which I'm pretty sure does have value up next).

Re: where to research t-shirt values, era, etc. besides here?

RedCloud has always been a go to for me outside of Defunkd. They have a great label resource for t shirts and other vintage clothing. http://www.redcloud.co.jp/detail/tag.htm There's also the Vintage Fashion Guild that has another good label resource. Although, not so much t shirts, but other vinta...

where to research t-shirt values, era, etc. besides here?

Besides here at DEFUNKD (obviously!! My fave!) where else do you all go to research t-shirt values, dates, and other info in order to help price them as a seller? If I can't find the answer here at Defunkd, I usually check out Google, ebay (completed auctions), Worthpoint, and etsy...am I leaving an...

Re: four vintage tees - van, RKO Tapes, hot air balloons

ah well...thanks JJ. I figure it could have a niche market, but someone wants to buy it outright so I don't have the option to auction it and not sure where else to search. (I already tried Google, ebay, worthpoint, and etsy...am I leaving anything out? In fact, that's a question I'd love to post an...

Re: four vintage tees - van, RKO Tapes, hot air balloons

hi - I found out what the green Asian tee says and ID'ed the instruments it depicts: The instruments are called Shamisen (Japanese traditional instruments). The text says Odorou! (or perhaps Odoru?), i.e. Let’s dance! There's no tag, but the tee is super soft and thin. Def. not a recent one, but vin...
