Hypnolovewheel: even my most hardcore music fan friends glazed over when I mentioned the name. The few references on the internet have tiny entries that say "unjustly neglected..." and then trail off. A couple of not-bad tracks on Youtube. I'm hoping unjustly neglected translates into $$$ when I put it up in September.

It was a goldmine of every type of genre, and lots of obscure ones too. One of the best ones I got was a disco band called, Heatwave that did an anthem called Boogie Nights. The shirt I wish I never let get away.
I know this post is as old as dirt, but I have to weigh in on Heatwave. They were a hybrid funk/r&b band that had some serious classics. Boogie Nights was one, and so was Groove Line, but for r&b listeners, their signature song was Always & Forever, a wedding staple and useful for *ahem* seduction.

And if you're a hip-hop fan, Ain't No Half-Stepping was famously sampled by Big Daddy Kane.

I'm glad you dug up this thread. Cool stuff. Also, it's the perfect thread to add a pic of my Wazmo Nariz shirt to.

Wow...Fist!

A GREAT band whose heyday was early 80's..."Thunder in Rock" and "Fleet Street" were two of their best songs, and probably the best known due to some pretty decent airplay in 81-82.

Ron Schenier (hope I've got that spelled correctly) was a decent guitar player who got a phenomenal sound out of that B. C. Rich Mockingbird (never saw him play anything else) and poscessed one of the best "heavy metal" voices I ever heard; very powerful.

Pretty sure these guys were from the Ottawa area, totally into the HD culture (before it went mainstream) and they did a ton of club tours in the 80's. Used to check 'em out at the A-4 in Saskatoon every time they rolled thru, but saw them in Winnipeg & Calgary as well. Strangely, I never did buy a t shirt, but then again don't really remember any for sale?

That was back in my VO days tho' so memory might be a bit hazy! Luv that t, btw
