Speaking of Roach, help me date this tag-less shirt...

I picked up another cool Roach shirt tonight, but it is missing the tag. The graphic is an iron-on type of material and says Roach '76 on it, but that obviously doesn't mean it's from 1976. The stitching where the tag was does not look modern. Shirt is soft, but not a 50/50... maybe just a soft cotton. Finally, the measurements are a bit odd. It's 19.5 pit-to-pit, but 31.5 top-to-bottom. It is for one tall and skinny dude.

Cool tee - but heat transfers aren't very hot. It's probably 70s

Late 70's for sure.

The extra length was typical of these "sports jersey" type t-shits. They were extra long so you could tuck them in and they wouldn't come untucked easily while playing sports.

Not one of Roach's more exciting iron-on designs and the measurements will make this one a tough sell.

I've ended up just donating many of these types of tees back to the thrift stores over the years.

Hope that helps.

I'm almost tempted to have a friend alter it, so I can wear it... I like it. Especially if you guys say they do not sell too well, why not keep it? We'll see.

For sure! It's a great 70's tee. Just probably not a big ticket item.

If the pit to pit measurements fit...then just cut the length.

I've done that with many of my tees. I don't even bother hemming it. I just wear it with the raw cut edge.
