Here's some info I dug up on Sand knit:

• Acquired by Medalist Industries in 1960
• Operated as a division of Medalist until 1984 when it was sold to MacGregor Sporting Goods, a subsidiary of American Machine and Foundry (AMF), Inc.

So it's somewhere in that time frame. But your tag looks a bit more basic than anything I saw from the 1980s. 1970s? Not sure.

is there a design on it?
