Headline: Mike Starr of Alice in Chains Fame is Dead Year: 1990 Starr was best known as the bassist in Alice and Chains from its formation in 1987 to 1993. In 2010 he made the rounds on Celebrity Rehab where he admitted he was kicked out of the band because of drugs.
