GBH Legit check: Biesseci

Post by TheNostalgeec »

Guys,

Picked up this GBH tee, but not familiar with the tag. The brand is Biesseci. According to these links, http://www.trademarkia.com/best-company-73626652.html http://uk.trademarkdirect.co.uk/best-company-1328655 this Italy-based company used to produce clothing with brands like Best Company and American System back in the 80s.

Do you think this tee is from the 80s?

Thanks!

Maybe 90s? Always found one clue to be the measurements - are they on par with 80s L measurements? What's the pit to pit?

A user on FB pointed this out:

founded in 1984. But it still looks 90s to me. What's the measurements?

Thanks Jimmy, and it's 20 inches (pit to pit), 26 inches (back collar to bottom).

I'd wager 90s. Here's one from Stormcrow from the 80s. Labelled XL and still under 20":

It's one of those designs that are easy to reproduce so has been done across several decades - even in this one.

I guess it's safer to list it as 90s repro then. How much do you think it's worth? $100 - $175?

Thanks
