Dying Shirts

Post by maxvintage »

Yo! Anyone ever had luck dying shirts? I've got a somewhat faded black t-shirt that I would like to "pop" a bit more. I read this on here http://oldschoolmetalshirts.com/dyeing.htm awhile back and think it looks pretty intriguing. Thoughts?

I'm scared of washing some of my tees, let alone dyeing!
Have vintage Elvis tees? Let me know!

Ditto to what CRAZYBUBBA said. I've been hanging on to a Wu-Tang C.R.E.A.M. shirt that unfortunately picked up some bleach-like marks, and looking for some sort of fix.

I wouldn’t worry about it

this C.R.E.A.M. shirt sold for $200 with a bleach stain

I’ve got this same shirt I’m holding on to, Thought I really think it’s a vintage bootleg, though i could be wrong.

Im considering it with a def jam staff tee. Super faded and has some marks im sure would be neutralized. I see both sides of the argument....he has a point with restoration...collectibles can be more valuable restored. But perhaps tees are coins of the collectibles world?

I got my hands on a Fred Babb t-shirt that had a big sun fade square in the middle of it. So I did a reverse tie dye on it. May not be everyone's cup o' tea, but I like it.
