Re: Modern Day Bootleggers?

Thought i would share these pics so you can compare using apples to...not so apples. The first pic is my shirt and is an original from 1987. The second one is a Rainbowgasoline shirt printed on a 80s deadstock size small screen stars shirt. The third and fourth pics are Academyclothiers. I'll say ...

Re: Def Leppard Hysteria tour shirt

Most Def Leppard Hysteria shirts that I have come across were printed on Spring Ford tags. I suggest you post a picture of the tag and we'll be able to tell you for sure one way or another.

Re: Anyone heard of Velva Sheen?

Here's a pic of one off a late 70s shirt and i believe this same tag was used on early and maybe mid 80's too.

Re: Modern Day Bootleggers?

Hi Hermosa! Yeah, Tinalove and Mahagamage are the worst. Just blatant fakes. Be careful with academyclothiers though!

Here's a few to get the ball rolling:
Tinalove1991 (all fakes)
Academyclothiers (most if not all)
Rainbowgasoline (some)

Re: Forgotten Film Shirts

Yes! I love this category! Pre Alligator incident Carl Weathers. Great shirt and unfortunately for one guy from my high school who got caught doing his best Pee-Wee Herman impersonation in the bathroom stall, a great nickname.

Re: HELP! Doobie brothers t shirt?

Rainbowgasoline buys blank vintage shirts, prints fakes on them, and passes them off as real vintage. :( But, he does have tons of real vintage too. This doobie tee looks to be a legit 70s bootleg that was sold outside the concerts.

Re: Powell Skate Tee - 1978... or is it?

Hi Stacey. That print is copyrighted from 1978, but that shirt is a repro. Pre 1983 Powell shirts would most likely have a an RP, Stedman or Healthknit tag. None of those used to be on the tee pictured. Hope that helps!

Re: VTG Tee Sellers and Sizes

You're right Bubs, it can be a bit confusing. I sometimes will put a M if it's a medium that measures about 18 pit to pit (what i consider a true 80's medium measurement) in hopes of attracting someone who is looking for a specific shirt and who is familiar with vintage sizing. If i were to put a S ...

Re: Ebay Fee Changes

I'm going to really have to analyze the fees and pricing (which is really fun! i love devoting time on the computer to that kind of stuff)...if they are going to take away the store inventory option, I may just drop my store subscription entirely. awesome!

Re: Forgotten Film Shirts

Amadeus won the oscar for best picture in 1984. I have to think, that there must have been some heavy politics involved, because clearly, The Mutilator was far and away, the superior film that year. Sure Mozart's a musical genius...good for him...but did he compose this: By sword, by pick, by axe ...

Re: 1966 Beatles Butcher Cover Tee

I still have it. I haven't researched them in quite a while, but last time i did, the ones that had been professionally graded fetched the highest prices, so i might get that done first. I'm a big time procrastinator.
