Re: Nirvana inside joke T-shirt

That shirt is by a comic artist called Peter Bagge, who did the 'Neat stuff' and 'Hate' comics. It was available mail order in the back of 'Hate'.It has nothing to do with Nirvana,it was a made up band that featured in one of the stories.

vintage English hawaiians

As the title says,I really like English Hawaiian shirts.I find they are slightly more conservative,as far as size of collar and print design goes.If anyone has any they would like to sell,or trade, let me know.

So many, for so many different reasons.Heres just a few: 1.Dead Kennedys 'kill the poor shirt'.This is front and back print heavy ...

Re: Best Books on Vintage Tees/Clothing?

It's interesting to note that Rin Tanaka of the Myfreedanm series also wrote the motorcycle jacket book. It seems that this person is a walking encyclopedia of vintage. Rin is a very cool guy, inquisitive and super friendly. When he gets his teeth into something,he really goes for it.I have been ...

Re: Champion t-shirts

The Champion knitwear company inc. started in 1919,with the earliest running man tag I've seen dating to the 1930's.This is similar to the '40's tag, only the figure is black on white rather than white against black/blue.

Re: can everybody recognise this vans shoes?

Look like mid-90's Vans to me.During this period Van's,along with various other skate shoe manufacturers, were making some stinking styles.

Re: Levi's Sta Prest

From the British perspective,Sta-prest first hit in the late 60's and were adopted by the skinhead movement as a smart version of the basic levi's jeans.I think the originals came in 3 colours, beige(stone),dark green and navy blue. They also had frog-mouth pockets and lightning brand zippers. These ...
