Re: Valuation Methods

Hey Johnny, Yeah, I suppose ultimately it's just up to what someone is willing to pay for a shirt. I checked out your blog and really enjoyed reading it. Any tips for determining t-shirt years if it's not on the screen print? I know tags are the key a lot of times, but I'm really stuck when it comes...

Re: Valuation Methods

Thanks Jimmy. I guess the more of this I do the more I'll figure out. I'm just really not sure on much of the dating/value process. A mid 70s shirt vs. an early 80s shirt. Is the 70s worth much more because of those extra 5-6 years? If so, how do you determine if it's an extra $50 or $150? I guess t...

Valuation Methods

Hi All, I'm relatively new to selling vintage t's and outside of defunkd and a few ebay completed listing searches, I really don't feel like I have much else to help determine a price on shirts. I'm curious how everyone does proper valuations of their products, especially those that are more rare? A...

Re: Karate Kid

Thanks Jimmy. I thought that one was probably real, but didn't want to do business w/them based on what I've heard. If you ever come across one I'd be interested.

Karate Kid

One of my favorite movies and I've yet to come across an authentic vintage shirt from the 80s. Academy has one on ebay, but it's tiny and from what I've heard about them on here, I won't be buying from them anytime soon.

Anyone ever come across one?

Thanks!
Max

I'm relatively new to selling vintage t's, but I've been wearing them for as long as I can remember.

Re: Does Size Matter

Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate it. Hopefully it doesn't hurt the value of the shirt. :) Jimmy- the measurements are 24" pit to pit and from back collar to hem is 30" I figured a few photos wouldn't hurt in assessing the value. Thanks again for the help, it's much appreciated. h...

Does Size Matter

I just acquired a mint condition Rolling Stones Steel Wheels tour shirt. I've seen it on ebay at around $120. My question is concerning the size. I read on here that a Screen Stars XXXL is rare and that happens to be what the shirt is. Does that increase the value or is size pretty much irrelevant? ...
