Hi! Please help me check this Hanes Beefy tag on one of my shirt. I can't seem to find too much information about it. So far, I've only seen 2 similar tags but I'm not sure about the legitimacy and the era. Thank you in advance.

The tag is folded over yeah? This is an interesting one, I believe I chatted with someone via IG DMs about it. He got it from his grandma - I can't remember what country - not USA, but I think yours might be a knockoff tag - but well before the era of fake tags. Potentially they were just making counterfeit Hanes blanks, that screen printers were buying up.

It is based on a real Hanes tag that is lessor seen, that isn't folded over shown below.

Either that or it's an even more obscure tag - but the details on the that tag aren't very accurate.

Thanks for the speedy response! Yes, the last image seems to be the exact one. I don't know much about it either. I purchased the shirt here in the Philippines from a reseller. The shirt with the same tag seems to be a souvenir shirt from Baguio City. Mine is a band shirt. The one I attached was seen from a Japanese website. The tag cleaner picture of the tag I attached i believe came from a sweatshirt, which I saw on our local marketplace. Maybe the PL code stand for "Philippines"? ahahah. not sure.

I think I vaguely remember the one I was sent being from the PH too.

Either way, the shirt is vintage, if the tag is fake, it was faked decades ago.
