Hey-
I ment to post this months early, but life gets in the way. Found this shirt at a shop in Tokyo. I have been looking for it for a while but the tagged seemed off to me. Looked very close to some of the fake tags I have seen here. I reached out to Liquid Blue and Paul responded about the tag being being legit. Here was his response:
This look very real. I will admit the tag isn’t as good. We had a couple label companies were used during these early days.
Image looks clean. Def a rare item a such condition. I just looked again. Tag isn’t as good as others. But it’s real. The blue is too light and chalky too. Print is our item even though one of the colors is out of place slightly.
So turns out it is real. His response was super interesting. @Primarilydead said he wants to interview him and learn more about all the tags. I think that would be super cool if they made that happen.
This website has been such an amazing resource to me over the years, hopefully this is helpful to someone else. If you have any questions I am happy to help.
