Vintage T-Shirt Forum & Community Authentication Appraisals

Hi, looking for some help on appraisal and dates. The shirt was given to me some 29 years ago and condition was same as in photos. The original owner stated they bought it 1978. Whilst the tag states size Ex-L , if fits more like a Medium on shoulders and chest and length is passed the belt line. Can't find any history against the tag. Thanks in advance.

I've seen this tag before but can't place it - did the original buyer purchase in europe?

They seem to top out at about $200. There's another design (attached) that seem to better - but the seller is claiming it's 70s - when the visible tag wasn't around until 1981 at earliest. So the Ramones were releasing shirts celebrating past albums.

Thanks for that Jimmy. In answer to your question, yes the original owner did purchase in U.K..but 1978 is debatable I guess. Was wondering if 'fit' of T's has any correlation to Year, based on the style of the day. Thanks again

It looks very narrow and long which is 70s-ish. I tried to figure out what the tag was but no matches on lens. we need to crack what tag it is, find other tees from them and make sure they are double stitch and what era they are. It does kinda strike me as potentially 90s. What's the pit to pit?
