I have a 1992 Sonic Youth Gracias tee on a brockum tag. Tee is very thrashed and faded. Seller claimed to have gotten it at a garage sale

Same situation, the alterations and damage kill the value, even if real. Often people get their hands on counterfeits and then beat them up to hide that they are fake.
