Hi I saw on Legiteem8 an expert considered a pink Floyd dual stich shirt because brockum does not do in contrast stitching.
I you full of shirt brockum with dual who we look legit. (especially on this forum) just to know if dual brockum equals fake. Thanks

I try my best not to set up hard rules since we find all the time, there are exceptions. I planned on doing a full investigation on this claim through the tag lineup, and doing the legwork on it, so a situation like this doesn't occur:

https://www.defunkd.com/nirvana-reddit/

I also prefer to focus on the print over anything else, as it's the part of t-shirt with the most moving parts (design, screens, inks) and is the hardest to get right.

It also seems weird that a fake would be dual-stitched - typically, the first gen batch of modern counterfeit Thai Floyd are single-stitched. (but not a hard rule! lol) Maybe this is some new generation of Floyd fakes, do you happen to know more details about the actual shirt, where it's listed, etc?

We'll revisit this soon!

Hi thank you. I found this shirt on Legiteem8 with this comment that was engraved in my head. I bought a Guns roses 1991 brockum shirt and at the reception I saw that it was dual. On eBay this Dual shirt is selling. But I wanted to know if it was a strict rule since it was said by an expert.
En autre je pensais qu'il y avait un lien defunkd et legiteem 8

Floyd tee - I'm not going to speak to its authenticity due to the photos. The cut tag is certainly a redflag, maybe they are trying to hide an obvious fake tag, but still pass it off as Brockum tag.

With that said, I can speak to labelling it fake based on the dual stitching is has (and I'm assuming by "contrasting stiching", this is what he means) I did a quick scan of all Floyd and Metallica Brockum tees, and it absolutely isn't true that Brockum didn't have DS bottoms, and dual stiching. In fact, with that session of digging around (albeit limited), it was more prevalent to have DS on the bottom than a single bottom.

Then I went through some of our past sales to find the first Brockum piece that popped up. Lo and behold, single top double on the bottom.

Your GNR tee looks okay, but as you mentioned, the photos aren't great, so feel free to post better ones.

I reached out to darling - to get clarification on what he meant by "contrasting" - and he was referring to the appearance of the threads - color wise - not the single/double stitch combination.
