1987 Harley Davidson Tee with Hanes tag

I need help dating this thing. It's in amazing shape. Dated 1987. Has anyone seen a shirt from that period with a Hanes tag like this? As you can see it's a Heavyweight 100% cotton made in USA.

No....that's the new logo...late 90s even early 00s.....1987 could have been the date of the design.

Well I have this shirt with the same exact tag. It's from Bike Week '93. There are a lot of reused designs for Bike Week shirts but they do change the date. There's no reason to reprint a Bike Week shirt with an old date on it around here (Daytona/New Smyrna are). We have thousands of BW shirts floating around. I was hoping that meant my Harley shirt is the real deal. '87 and '93 aren't too far off. I guess it should be too good to be true.

@RyanB where's the 1987 date? Is it real small at the bottom of the graphic? If so, that's the copy right date of the artwork not necessarily the date the t-shirt was printed. Many times earlier copy righted graphics are used repeatedly years following the original date the artwork was created and licensed.
That tag is not 1987.

Yeah. It has the old officially licensed Harley Davidson merchandise mark with the date. Pretty much all modern Harley shirts have a Harley Davidson tag, right?

Ya the modern day tees have the Harley tag.
It takes a while to have an eye for spotting the new from the old sometimes.
