I was told the spelling mistake in mexico was a factory misprint, the shirt was pretty expensive but the platform i got it on offers refunds so i can return if needed. Does anyone know of any oneita misprints or anyway you can tell if this is real or not. The print feels new and so does the shirt, either it was deadstock sealed in package or its fake. Thanks, any clarity would help <3

Ahhhh I love a good true misprint mystery! So I went through our online archive, among all the Oneita tags I could only find 3 that were made in Mexico. They seem to be far lessor seen than the Mexico ones.
That said, none of the three were spelled incorrectly.
Here's two of them:
https://www.defunkd.com/product/EN14589 ... -shirt-xl/
https://www.defunkd.com/product/MR13622 ... -flags-xl/
As you see if you compare, they also don't match the tag in other areas - in both of the ones above ONEITA is touching the line below.
That said, the ones above also don't match each other - as we continue to realize that Oneita's tags within themselves aren't consistent.
Looking at the print, seems better than other fakes I've seen, but I've attached a crisp one.
Also the back appears to be a bonus addition by Thailand countefeitters.

Ah damn thats unfortunate haha, really appreciate it. very interesting stuff, do you think its a modern counterfeit? The print feels pretty thick so not sure that that indicates. Also i paid 75 bucks for it, not sure if it s worth a refund

Where did you buy it? Definitely wouldn't be $75 if real. I see Oneita tagged ones on the counterfeit sites for $39.99

On a South African version of depop. we dont have any good US vintage so this really caught my eye and the price was pretty believable because our currency is pretty weak. I just thought i got lucky haha
