WCC Legit check

I'm thinking of buying this west coast chopper tee but I've never seen one with just the black tag. Is it still legit?
We're getting quite a few of these WCC requests, but this is a niche I don't know much about - is anyone here savvy with WCC tees?
Keep in mind, there were fakes back then, which still have value - I think the modern counterfeits are fairly recent.
