Bought in Japan for reference at one of those buy sell shops, tags appear to match up to authentic shirts w/ same tag, looking for a second opinion + ~ year (90s or 2000s)

I think this is authentic. It seems like the material doesn't have the right size, so it's custom-made. Considering the size is XXL and market demand is low. There's nothing suspicious about the screen printing. The side label even uses the Chronic brand.

What this means is that if the material is not available, they make the material from cut material for the special size XXL
