We all know this. That does not however mean that we do not have a great appreciation for metal, and by metal I mean actual 80s metal, not late 90s\/00s screamo metal (Murphy might actually like that, he lived in Worcester after all). And if you know me, you know that I personally have a tendency to wear shirts devoid of sleeves, when I wear a shirt at all. So theverdictsin&#8216;s series of mostly sleeveless classic metal tees is something that you had to know would be getting a showcase on here. But just to make the transition as painless as possible, let&#8217;s start with some crossover&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Vintage If You&#8217;re Not Into Metal, You Are Not My Friend.* tee\" title=\"Vintage If You&#8217;re Not Into Metal, You Are Not My Friend.* tee\" src=\"https:\/\/defunkd.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/dri4.jpg\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Vintage If You&#8217;re Not Into Metal, You Are Not My Friend.* tee\" title=\"Vintage If You&#8217;re Not Into Metal, You Are Not My Friend.* tee\" src=\"https:\/\/defunkd.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/dri4b.jpg\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Gonna be honest, only saw DRI once, and was not impressed. Of course, it was in a giant dusty field in Topsfield, MA in 2003 at a very under attended all day festival, so probably not the best venue or time period. Slapshot also played that day, along with a band (whose name escapes me) who had a giant amazon playing bass and breathing fire onstage. She was the best part of the day (it was one of the ladies from Nashville Pussy, yes I am absolutely too lazy to Google and refresh my memory as to which one and what her other band was). <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Vintage If You&#8217;re Not Into Metal, You Are Not My Friend.* tee\" title=\"Vintage If You&#8217;re Not Into Metal, You Are Not My Friend.* tee\" src=\"https:\/\/defunkd.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/megarat.jpg\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Vintage If You&#8217;re Not Into Metal, You Are Not My Friend.* tee\" title=\"Vintage If You&#8217;re Not Into Metal, You Are Not My Friend.* tee\" src=\"https:\/\/defunkd.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/megarat2.jpg\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The seller isn&#8217;t sure whether this is an original shirt or an original bootleg. All I know is, if that shirt were made now, the back would have a giant F-bomb on it instead of the now relatively tame &#8220;God damn&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Vintage If You&#8217;re Not Into Metal, You Are Not My Friend.* tee\" title=\"Vintage If You&#8217;re Not Into Metal, You Are Not My Friend.* tee\" src=\"https:\/\/defunkd.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/megasleeveless.jpg\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>I actually think I owned this shirt once. Not the one he&#8217;s selling, obviously, but in the exact same sleeveless condition. Only I made it that way myself. Sadly, it was a size small, and I never fit into it.
