Sic Transit Gloria is a latin phrase. Or part of a latin phrase. Most often, it’s referenced as sic transit gloria mundi<\/em>, which translates roughly as “wordly things are fleeting.” The direct translation is a little more lofty, “thus passes the glory of the world.” Heavy shit. Of course, by leaving off the mundi<\/em> portion, which translates as “of the world,” the phrase is slightly loftier. And in most circles translates as “glory fades.” Rough.
