Re: Best Books on Vintage Tees/Clothing?
I can't believe that I forgot Barry Freidman's book. Yes, that's amazing too. I've had the opportunity to see some pretty rare vintage stuff at work/ in stores but I've never seen anything like the stuff that Barry has sitting at home. He has an amazing collection and knowledge base.

Re: 1930s Hudson Bay Company Wool Point Blanket
Actually the Hudson Bay company started making point blanket jackets from (I believe) 1920-30 onwards. They sell really well, I just saw one in Manhattan yesterday listed for $700.
Of course, there may have also been individuals who made jackets from torn/moth hole ridden blankets.

It's interesting to note that Rin Tanaka of the Myfreedanm series also wrote the motorcycle jacket book. It seems that this person is a walking encyclopedia of vintage.

Has anyone heard of Bull Shirts?
I wasn't sure what section of the forum to put this in. I saw a bull shirt at work a couple weeks ago, (see the one in the middle) and had assumed that it was a 70s "destination" tee. http://s275.photobucket.com/albums/jj296/CRAZYBUBBA/Vintage%20Samples/?action=view¤t=DSC00327.jp...

Re: The Best Place To Find A Vintage Tee in.....
The value village (savers) in Kingston, ON has been great for me. I haven't found any great vintage tees there but I have picked up lots of miscellaneous vintage there, including a couple $100 items. In Canada I've found Value Village to be the ts of choice, no matter where you are. Funny coincidenc...
