Re: Making shirts fit
@Johnny, I'm not sure what the material is as the tag as been removed. I might as well give it a try though. Have you ever gotten any to really stretch much. I feel like I'm gonna need a couple of inches, which seems like a lot. @Jimmy, if I shrunk down to fit this shirt, I might blow away next time...

Making shirts fit
Hi all, I just bought my all-time favorite vintage shirt. However, it's quite small and I can't walk in it without showing some skin  Any ideas of how I could stretch this thing out to make it a bit longer/wider? I'm dying to wear this, but it's probably a 14 pit to pit and maybe 19 long. If I...

Re: Vintage HANES Woodstock shirt
The official word from Wade Lawrence | Director of the Museum at Bethel Woods (Woodstock Museum) Security got red t-shirts (along with a red windbreaker), and festival organizers and head honchos got black. There were also green and purple, but I have not been able to get the whole story on who wore...

Re: Pricing Among Peers
Hey Stormcrow- Never too late to chime in. We're all looking to learn whenever and wherever possible. It just seems so subjective. Like how do you determine that a shirt is worth $200 and what's the difference between that and $400, and so on and so forth? I wanna sell my stuff for sure and don't re...

Re: Vintage HANES Woodstock shirt
Okay okay..... Here's a shirt that we can all agree is from 1969 with this same tag: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110802002280&ssPageName=ADME:X:eRTM:US:1123 I have a Star Wars crew shirt from 78-79 with the same tag, so it appears to have quite a life span. As Jimmy st...

Re: Vintage HANES Woodstock shirt
Wow! That's a gem. It looks to be the exact same shirt seen here: http://www.artfact.com/auction-lot/woodstock-security-staff-t-shirt-and-original-han-1-c-689cf8a392 There's brief description that states a bit of history about the shirt and how it was worn by crew members at the festival. That shirt...

Re: Levis Big E Resources
Hey Johnny, what other vintage blogs do you read? I checked out blue gold blues and ended up spending hours on it and other similar jeans sites. From there I found rivetheads and learned all about that vintage convention, Inspiration. So so cool.....just wanted to see if you knew of any other cool s...

Re: Allison Mickey Mouse and Disney Questions
I agree that this shirt looks more 80s than mine at: http://www.defunkd.com/product/MA82919/vintage-mickey-mouse-1970s-walt-disney-t-shirt-s From a quick search over at ebay I found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1980s-Mickey-Mouse-Sweatshirt-Allison-Disney-Made-USA-Medium-/250998447263?pt=Vi...

Re: Levis Big E Resources
At least they aren't fakes. I actually bought them to wear and only thought of selling them after realizing they didn't fit. I paid $75, hope that wasn't too much. If it was oh well, live and learn the hard way I suppose. Thanks for all the insight Johnny, I always enjoy hearing your thoughts on thi...

Re: Levis Big E Resources
Post some pics if you've got 'em. I'd be interested to see what has you thinking they're "fakes". :ugeek: I'm thinking they may be fakes because of the 555 on the back of the buttons. I guess they usually have single numbers or letters on the back? They are 517's which I guess some collec...
