Throwing in my 2 cents.
In my humble opinion. No way that tee is from 1938.
To me the generic printed tag, construction of the garment and the overall condition indicate this piece is not 72 years old.
Sorry.

Re: HELP! Doobie brothers t shirt?
I'd say legit 70's parking lot bootleg.
It's really small though. 17.5" x 23". But if it's 100% cotton should stretch nicely.
Good luck!

Re: Beware of this seller
It's a bummer situation all around. Sad actually.
Corey is taking advantage of folks that are excited to buy a cool vintage tee and then they never receive it or it's fake.
Glad us aficionados here at the Defunkd forum are hip to his scam.

Re: How To Make Photobucket Links Unclickable
Yes you need to remove a portion of the HTML code that photobucket automatically places in the generated image code. Below is an example of a complete HTML image code from photobucket: (I've included "quotations" at the beginning and end of the code so as to deactive the link for the sake ...

Re: Black Flag T Shirt REALLY 1985 or NOT?
I'm fairly certain the 1985 date refers to when Greg Ginn guitarist for Black Flag and owner of SST records first got a copyright for the logo created by Ginn's brother Raymond Pettibon in January of 1979.

Really?
I think you would just have a relatively new looking, stinky t-shirt with pit stains!

Re: Grateful Dead and the BLUES BROTHERS!
My bad.
I didn't see the photo with the tag. You're right it is the appropriate age.
Hmmmm....now I'm not sure either way. Tough call.

Re: Looking for a brand of shirt....
A screen printing company in the hands of an eBay vintage seller with a huge inventory of vintage blanks = scary. :? Scary. Agreed Jimmy. But even if they are skilled enough to scan old art and successfully screen it on blanks they can't fake 25-30 years of patina no matter what chemicals they have...
