Sex and rock and roll tees70s, 80s 90s, any value here?

Postby artstranger on Wed Oct 26, 2011 3:28 am

Hey guys/girls here are a few more tees I have in my little stash.

Hello I see the rock tree shirt here on the sight but not with the rock and roll banner also I believe it is from 1990 where mine is from 1987, which do you think is more valuable?

The Depeche Mode shirt is from 1990 and made in France. Are they from France originally? Never seen a tee-shirt made in France before.

Lastly the Mabels Whore House shirt is a cool one. I think it is 70's but i'm not sure. Also the letters/design is a raised material almost foam like.

As always any info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks again for your time all!

Can you include a close-up pic of the tag on the whore house one?

Cool - yours says 87 but is it screen stars best? They might be similar era - they are actually quite different - I can't see a close-up of yours but Elvis is in two different spots.

DM shirt is worth about $50.

Cool - I think both rock tees are from the 90s - the design is from the 80s but was popular for some time. I kinda prefer the borderless design on ours - but it's a matter of taste.

I am pretty sure my rock and roll tee is from 87 because there is also a burton 84 date on there as well here is the picture!

However you all are the experts not me. Let me know what you think!
Thanks again!

A popular design like that gets copyrighted one year and re-printed for years later. But yeah I tend to think of "Screen Stars Best" was more prevalent in the 90s - but have seen instances of it from the late 80s - maybe 87 was the year...

Maybe mine squeaks in under 80s too. What size is the pit to pit on yours?
