Vintage T-Shirt Tag Authentication

Defunkd's Vintage T-Shirt Tag Authentication service provides an independent, professional opinion based on the tag photographs and other information submitted for review. Because we do not physically inspect the tag, our assessment relies on the accuracy and quality of the photographs provided. Our review focuses specifically on whether the tag appears genuine or counterfeit, including comparisons with known counterfeit examples and examination for signs of previously undocumented fakes. When possible, we also provide an estimated production era or approximate date range for the tag. These dates are estimates and may not be determinable for every tag. This service does not authenticate the entire T-shirt. A genuine vintage tag can be removed from its original garment and sewn into a counterfeit or reproduction T-shirt. Our findings do not constitute a certification or guarantee of authenticity for the tag or the garment, and some assessments may be inconclusive. We aim to deliver assessments by email within 24 hours of submission and successful payment. However, this is an estimated timeframe, not a guarantee. If additional tag photographs are required, the assessment may take longer.
