Fabricated is our wee![[🔗LINK IN BIO] ⚠️ Fabricated is our weekly series comparing counterfeits to confirmed originals. The fake Oneita Power-T tag is now in heavy circulation, which might catch some off guard, as the previous version was black and white. This one is additionally tricky because there are real variances between Oneita Power-T tags, even among the Jamaica ones, where the logo appears slightly taller, almost stretched, and the "O" isn't a perfect circle, along with several other subtle differences. The biggest red flag on what to look for in the fake version of the Oneita Power-T Tag: ⚠️ Kerning (spacing between the letters) on the ONEITA font is too generous. Additionally: ⚠️ The R in the ® symbol is touching the border (although this sometimes occurs on real ones, but not to this degree) ⚠️ Leading (spacing between the lines of text) between PRE and 100% isn't enough. ⚠️ The font weights on the text on the bottom below aren't correct (although there's a variance between legit tags, too) What can you spot? 👀 Always do side-by-side comparisons because many of these tags have become pretty convincing with no frame of reference - and remember that there are a ton of variances between real tags.
