Hoop Dreams Deferred

My brother and I at The White House 1991. Where is Michael Jordan? That’s all I could think about while out on the South Lawn of the White House awaiting the arrival of the 1990-91 Chicago Bulls championship team to meet with President George H.W. Bush. Wearing an official championship shirt and a MJ baseball cap, I clutched a Wilson basketball emblazoned with an authentic replica of MJ’s autograph, hopeful to get the real thing. My brother wore a matching shirt and a Bulls World Champion hat. Looking like we were from Chicago, but at the time we still lived ... Read more

We Interviewed a 1990s South Park T-Shirt Authoritah

Hi Tyler, aka @wwfsouthparksigns. How many 90s South Park tees do have? Over 100. Shit, with all the 90s bootlegs and one-offs there is that I have from season one for people’s businesses and spring break-type stuff it’s a lot. How long have you been collecting them? I’ve been collecting them seriously within the last 8 years or so but I’ve always collected 1997-1998 South Park stuff since the show came out. I have plush dolls and keychains and shit from when I was a kid. I was always pretty good with saving things I knew I would be bummed ... Read more

My Vintage Black History T-Shirt Collection

After selling vintage t-shirts from Canada (@thorough_image) to individuals around the world for over four years I noticed the lack of representation of positive black figures. Considering the amount that black history has influenced me and the entire world I wanted to share my collection with the community on Martin Luther King Day. These tees represent information that was not taught in most schools and now is illegal to be taught in some states. From one of the first written/spoken words of a slave Frederick Douglas who stole his education and his own freedom, to Jack Johnson the first black ... Read more

This Vintage Atari T-Shirt Collector Has Game

Steve and I go way back. We first connected over 5 years ago when he started turning heads by uploading an insane vintage Star Wars t-shirt collection to the show section of the now-defunct, Defunkd Collective. Ever since he’s been my go-to vintage Star Wars t-shirt expert. He also assisted me while I was working on (and continually updating) The Holy Grail of Vintage Star Wars tees article. Then, recently, he revealed that he’s been slowly collecting Atari tees too. So I asked him if he would share it and answer some questions about his collections. Where in the world ... Read more

Diary of an Ozzy Osbourne T-Shirt Collector

I first got into tees when I started going to concerts around 1986-87. My brother gave me a cassette of Diary of a Madman when I was younger and I’ve been hooked ever since. A few years of Ozzy’s solo stuff and then I dove into Sabbath. I have seen Ozzy and Sabbath in concert around 15 times. I consider myself a massive Ozzy and t-shirt fan. I’m totally psyched for Ozzy’s new album. I have already pre-ordered a signed copy of it. And I’m definitely looking forward to his NFL halftime kick-off. My go-to shirt is my Tribute shirt! ...
