the flares on old 70s concert tees! HELP

recently iv bought a 78' bob seger t shirt and a 79' doobie bothers t shirt both PAKI cotton, but iv noticed that both tshirts have almost a girl flare at the hem, the shirts fits snug and fitted but the hem flares side to side, does anyone know how to get rid ov that???!!! To make go straight down the body. thanks~

I have found those vintage Pakistani brands are shape shifters. Maybe try washing in warm...machine dry until damp and then stretch out the top part to match it and then lay it flat to dry...once it's dry put it in the dryer to lock it in? ha I dunno.

Not sure what it is with the cotton the Pakistani brands used, it's coarse, thicker threads and less of a thread count I think. I always lay those ones flat to dry...otherwise they lose form really easily.
