Who the Fuck is Mick Jagger? tee

Post by hokeypix »

Yes, I realize versions of this are available basically new, but with a FOTL tag. This particular one seems vintage in feel, thinness, shape. It came from a collection of mostly 70s/80s Stones tees and memorabilia. The tag is Hanes 100% Cotton. Appreciate any info on WHEN it could be from, and value. Thanks!

Me again. I see your Hanes guide IDs this tag as early 90s, which is super helpful, thanks. I'm also seeing it on certain (other) tees online as 80s (and a 1991). Does that sound about right? I assume that'd affect the value vs. a contemporary shirt.

Late 80s, early 90s. I've found a package of tees with the same tag copyright 1987. But like has been said before, copyright doesn't always accurately date the tees. Could be 87-90ish.

Given that this is an older one (let's say late 80s), what sort of value are we looking at? Thanks.

I like to price high and kinda sit on things for a bit, especially t shirts, but that's me. If it were me, I'd go $150ish with offers. You never know. If it sits for a while and you get a decent $50 offer or so, you might just take it to get rid of it.

Thanks! I agree, I like to start on the high end so the early bird gets first shot. I assume what makes this more desirable than the new ones currently selling for $40. or so (I saw one for $100., brand new!) is that it's 30 years old? (And has the feel, shape, etc. of a vintage tee).
