Hey there, very good score! When I first saw that black Metallica tag, it seemed a bit odd, as I don't remember ever seeing one with that particular tag. But, I've seen a lot of tees so - I just did a search and I couldn't find another one with that tag, out of about 40 I saw that are currently for sale across the marketplaces online.

Can you send good-quality photos of just the front and back prints?

I haven't seen a fake black Metallica tag yet, so I don't think there's much to worry about, but just a reason to focus on the print.

Did another search, can't find one with that tag. I also refined the search and included Faith No More. There are a lot of slight variations of this print - ones with/without Faith, sometimes Guns will be on top, sometimes Metallica will be on top - and then it's the opposite on the rear.

That said, the closeup of the print, especially the silver Metallica, I think we can rule out a DTG print - it looks like a quality screen print.

There are some small details though on yours, that I can't match up with the others floating around out there.

Like this portion of the back for example.

On yours, focus in on the area where the " N' " is, and you'll notice it's not an exact match. The red on your GUNS also appears to be less vibrant but that could be the photos.

But I would also keep an eye peeled for other examples of this t-shirt with this tag.

Where are you in the world BTW what city did you find it in?

Bootleg store In Thailand.

Ahhhhh. When new fake tags come out it throws everyone for a loop. But the print is quality looks good, that even looks like silver-ish print to me?

I'll do a side-by-side of the tag shortly, with a legit one.

Do you have any details on the store? do they have an online presence or and Instagram you can share please?

Also, can you please measure the pit to pit?

Yeah, so to the naked eye - no one would pick up this tag being fake. The differences are very subtle.

I found the bottom one in our database collection - all of these tags were submitted by honest vendors from 2011-2018

If you focus on the A and the C, that's the biggest difference.

The A on your tag has a small arc on the left side - the real one it's straight.

The C on your tag is less of a circle.

Also, it looks like on yours the middle letters are more compact, not as tall.

So far I haven't been able to find one in our database like yours but I'm still looking.

Hello , this is the bootleg store that I am talking about . It's in Thai shopping app name "Shopee" they sell all the vintage bootleg from many bands.
I can't find the Metallica G N R tee
that match my tag in the store, so maybe they changed the tag. But the other tee from the store that have black Metallica tag seem to
resemblance to mine.
Someone even used their photo to resell it on ebay for a much expensive price.
(Most of their bootleg cost around 15 usd)
Ps.The measurement is 23 inches from
pit to pit
