Re: Cool story about a vintage shirt I recently sold...

So, here are some interesting things she told me: She was doing graphic design in San Fran in the early 70s and she ended up putting up a bunch of Greenpeacers in her apartment. She said she designed the shirt in either 1975 or 1976, but could have been as early as late 1974. Her boyfriend, at the ...

Cool story about a vintage shirt I recently sold...

I recently sold this on Etsy: https://ny-image1.etsy.com/000/0/6634339/il_fullxfull.338001273.jpg It turns out the woman who bought it was the woman who designed it back in the 70s. How cool is that? Especially since it is a pretty iconic picture. Of course, I asked her a of couple t-shirt questions ...

Re: flight 23 by jordan inc - anyone know anything about it?

Bumping an old thread... I've got the same shirt for sale: http://www.ebay.com/itm/150877666559?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Mine has a date of 1988 and it is not FOTL, though. I wonder if mine is actually newer, as it seems like if you were branding your own clothes with your ...

Re: shady?

Being in Indiana, I often find Notre Dame shirts. They sell, but not for super high prices and sometimes they take awhile to move. I've got a pretty nice Ched right now in my Etsy shop, but it's been there for awhile.

Maybe I should put it up on E Bay and see what happens...

Re: So, what should I do if a package doesn't arrive?

One of the guys at the Post Office said this, too, about international mail. He said as long as it's pre-paid it can go into the mailbox. Perhaps by stamped, they mean not weighed/measured. He said the only issue would be if the postman hasn't seen a self-printed international envelope, he might not ...

Re: So, what should I do if a package doesn't arrive?

So, I printed out my first international label from home for a CD going to New Zealand. It was fairly easy, but a few things came up: 1. I can't just drop it in my mail box like I do with all of my other, smaller packages. It says I actually have to drop it off at the Post Office or schedule a ...

Re: So, what should I do if a package doesn't arrive?

Thanks for the insurance advice. Though, I always take my international packages to the Post Office because A) it is only one block from my house and B) if I remember correctly, you can't print out postage via PayPal unless you have a special package/envelope. Is that still true? I'd like to learn ...

So, what should I do if a package doesn't arrive?

On Etsy, I sold a lot of shirts ($62.00 worth) to a guy in Argentina in mid-April. I sent them via International First Class. A couple of weeks ago he sent me a message saying they haven't arrived. He did seemingly pick out the shirts at random and, initially, wanted the transactions to be private ...

Specific Show Pearl Jam Shirt

I don't know if the shirt being from a specific show makes it more, or less, valuable... at least on a 90s shirt.

No, no copyright date. Like I said, it looks to be the same as the one in that link I posted. I've got it up on E Bay for $30 and it has a bunch of views, but no watchers. We shall see.

Re: Harley Shirt

I'm not too familiar with Harley shirts (I've only sold one before), so I've been researching for the last couple of days...

What is so special about the 1980s 3D Emblem shirts with the cartoon hog? They aren't even that cool-looking, yet they go for between $100-$200 regularly.

Re: Harley Shirt

Thanks for the info. I'll try to get a tag picture after work today, but not sure how well it will show up. It's pretty faded; I can make out that it is a Harley tag and it says 3D Emblem (can't see the size) and on the back I can see the 50/50. It looks comparable to this one (that didn't sell at ...

Harley Shirt

This one has the actual Harley Tag, so I'm thinking it might be newer; however the tag is very faded and it is a 50/50 and very soft and thin. It's got some cracking, some pinholes, and a small hole on the back. Weird size, too: 20 across and 24 top-to-bottom. I'm more curious as to whether it's ...

Re: All right, I need some advice on how to maximize my profits.

Just wanted to follow-up a bit. Everything everyone has said here has been 100% helpful. I've sold a ton of random shirts on Etsy for $10.00-$15.00 that would have, maybe, netted two or three dollars on E Bay. Selling worldwide has made a huge difference, too. Today someone from South America bought ...

Re: Best method for removing pilling?

Good to know. When I'm in the market for a new appliance, I usually start off small to gauge whether or not I will use it or how useful it will actually be. I wouldn't mind dropping $30.00 if it's an time I'd use a lot. My concern is if they, in general, would work well on t-shirts since they seems ...

Re: Best method for removing pilling?

I picked up a $3.99 Remington shaver from Amazon. We shall see how it works. I figure four bucks is nothing to cry over if it doesn't work well.

The stone method does look interesting, too, while the razor method looks tedious.

Best method for removing pilling?

Every once in awhile I come across a really fuzzed up shirt. What's the best way to remove the pilling? There's a special comb, a stone, the razor method, and a fabric shaver. The fabric shaver actually looks kinda cool. Is it even worth doing to a t-shirt, as opposed to a sweater?

Re: Allison Mickey Mouse and Disney Questions

Interesting... I've seen that blue tag before, but didn't think it was that old. Obviously, there is a lot of Disney stuff out there, but most of it, like I said, is rather ugly. The nice simple designs are the best. It seems both Disney and Warner Brothers were, at one time, connected to Velva ...
