Cannon Pictures (Norris/Bronson/etc.)

Looking for anything connected with Cannon Pictures, the studio responsible for the very best bad movies of the 80's. Studio of choice for Chuck Norris and Charles Bronson; Masters of the Universe, Cyborg, Cobra, Lifeforce, Tough Guys Don't Dance... though I'm looking mostly for the Cannon logo ...

Picked this up way undervalued. I think. You tell me.

American Flagg, Starstruck, Black Kiss, Heavy Metal

Have gotten deep into alterna-comix of the 1980s, and I'm looking for a few shirts to match: the proto-cyberpunk satire American Flagg, the porno-noir Black Kiss (both by the intestimable Howard Chaykin), and Starstruck, which was a weird riot-girl-meets-rocky-horror thing with beautiful art and ...

Ox Baker became a manager when he retired. Scroll down on this wrestler's page for a recent picture of him- and his shirt:

Hilarious Mexican Van Hagar Tour Bootleg

Note to Van Halen circa 1992: you may think that you got away with hiding an expletive in the title of your top-selling album. But the Mexicans are on to you...

Re: who is this??

Hard to say. Unless you know the outfit who put it out, and they have a bit of a name, my guess is not much. It's not actually Kruger, whose shirts actually command a couple of bucks, but if you mention it's Kruger-inspired, you might get $25. Never actually tested the theory, tho- you could ...

Re: who is this??

No idea who the dude is, but the style suggests Barbara Kruger. She's a political artist who was big in the 80s/90s and is most famous for this picture, which you could not avoid if you were anywhere near the fine arts department of a college or university. She did a lot of work with photomontage ...

Johnny Rivers - Secret Agent Man

They gave him a number, and took away his name: good thing it's written on the shirt. From the 70s, I think- from a passel of shirts I picked up from an ex-radio man's collection. Transtees of USA, 100% cotton, made in Pakistan, XL: 18"pit-to-pit, 28" back collar to hem. Nifty punk graphic, but as ...

Iron-on or not?

About to come into a cache of rare 70's promo shirts- Uriah Heep, Jack Bruce, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, and obscure prog-rock acts Horslips and Triumvirat. Potentially lucrative- problem is, the print on many of them is rubbery-seemingly, sort of like an iron on. And some of these are ...

Is this wildly overestimating the appeal of this shirt? And either way, does anyone know a better search criteria than Basia?

Re: Vtg Andy Warhol The Plastic Show??

That's a late 80s/90s bootleg of a handbill for one of Warhol's multimedia events sometimes involving the Velvet Underground. Probably some enterprising head shop put that together in their basement.

Bronski Beat- Smalltown Boy

The classic. Screen Stars tag, 19" pit to pit, 25" back collar to hem. No rips or holes, slight but negligible imperfection to the image. Figure I should wait for Pride month, then put this up for $150. If I can bear to part with it. A plan?

Re: charles manson t-shirt signed by gg allin

That documentary came out in the 90s, and he went from way underground obscurity to hipster hero/joke combination overnight. One of my favourite alternative video stores used to sell GG Allin dolls, the packaging of which invited you to piss, shit on, and physically abuse them. Yikes. I'd wager a ...

70s rock radio shirts

A David Helton illustration for the influential Cleveland radio station The Buzzard. Picked it up with a stash of rock promo shirts (mostly iron-ons, alas, though Joe Walsh and Montrose are part of that bunch), and my source has more squirreled away somewhere. Was wondering: what are prices like for ...

Re: Playboy Channel- 80s

I just saw that Playboy stuff tends to bid up decently, if mostly with the Playboy tag- so I thought it might make me some quick and dirty (if softcore) dollars and pay some bills. I thought that it was a long shot for bootlegging, but the simple design also seemed like an easy scam to run- better ...

Playboy Channel- 80s

Picked this up from tsue32 a while ago, and now feel like giving it the auction treatment- though I'm suspicious of the rough texture of the ink. Hard to tell from these photos, but the slogan is a little ill-defined for my liking. Front has well-defined edges, but still. Might have been a dashed ...
