The print is cool. However, I believe the rips & holes at the top and at the seams would greatly affect the value. As would size (the larger the better). I'm just not sure of it's rarity and whether it's a parking lot bootleg. Maybe Jimmy can help you there.
Awesome shirts. It's the sizes that hurt them. If they were large or XL I suspect they would have sold without a problem. You may have better luck with the consignment path Jimmy mentioned.
Like Jimmy said it can take a long time to find the right buyer. Personally, I've never had much luck with military squadron shirts, even ones with awesome graphics, likely because I was impatient (meaning giving up after 3-4 months). IMO, someone who wasn't part of these units wants to be seen as a ...
It being a vintage aviation related shirt makes it much more collectible, with potentially higher upside, than a more common Quiksilver surfing shirt. Just a little research shows that the MX was THE groundbreaking ultralight vehicle which moved the craft beyond being a simple hang glider. If you do ...
Being an ironic rarity may put it on a few want lists, but I agree the original without the duplicate would be worth much more. Modern day Jesus shirts aren't in much demand. Most anything after the Middle Ages is overproduced.
I've owned a few Duke shirts...all were late 80's if I believe. Perhaps a member of one of the backup bands had a few shirts printed with the flyer on the front. I have a friend in a band who also owns makes t-shirts on the side who's done this for other bands on occasion. Cool shirt, and I would ...
Just looking at some of the bands listed on the shirt, many were formed or were unknown until 2000, in some cases, well after. For example, Devildriver wasn't even formed until 2002, Killswitch Engage didn't release an album until 2000 and were relatively unknown until 2003, and The Black Dahlia ...
Yeah, this is one you have to do a fixed price on (as opposed to an auction), as it may take a while to find the right buyer. If he gets into the HOF, it would bump up the value, but the baseball writers aren't likely to give him that honor. He and his memorabilia values are in the same boat as ...
Just because nothing showed up in their "database" doesn't necessarily mean it's a bootleg. Literally tens of thousands of different Nike branded items have been produced over the past 30 years. I could probably pull out a few obscure Nike items I have and I doubt they would show up in any Nike ...
I would list on Ebay, but you could also list it on Defunkd. Jimmy could give you a better idea of value than myself. BTW, I thought I'd do a search myself and came across these interesting threads. The first is someone asking about the value of his Knebworth Backstage pass shirt (he was even ...
Sorry about your misfortunes. I too would take the lesson & move on. I agree with you about Paypal's customer service. My account got hacked & wiped out twice within a month (like an idiot I logged in on a Radisson wi-fi account while in the Philippines), but they tracked the transaction and ...
Nice shirts! When you get them back, send the buyer a link to this thread...to prove to him that he's an idiot. Then block him. On Ebay, the seller has little recourse. I just had a shirt with a $200 bid...that got sniped at the last second...then the sniper didn't pay and ignored all contact. I ...
If it was me, I would wait for the upcoming Elvis release with the Royal Orchestra & others, and try to ride the buzz. You can try a higher auction start bid to gauge interest. Within 2-3 days, a shirt that is going to attract attention (and bids) will have at least a few watchers after 2 days ...
The Team Nike Sports tag/patch first appeared in 1985. There's always an off chance that it's a bootleg with anything Nike, but more than likely it's a legit late-80's product. I have a few items similar to this with the same tags. The large scale Nike bootlegging didn't really take off until the ...
