The maple leaves, by the way, indicate that it was the Canadian subsidiary that got the first franchise. You heard it here first.

That's wicked. The cold war was thawing out and the commies needed their burgs. And since Canada's relations with the USSR were a lot less strained, they got their foot in the door first?

There's a neat little history lesson in that shirt, I just learned 1000 X's more about the cold war in the last 10 mins than I did in high school.
