Abercrombie & Fitch Cashmere, Town & Country Hunting Shirt

Post by cokenner »

I found some nice vintage 40s-60s era clothing at a recent estate sale where I pulled 2 Arrow Chevella shirts and bought these two as well.

The A&F is a Braemar Cashmere sweater that I'm dating in the 60s via Vintage Fashion Guild's Label resource. Only issues is some hanger marks from extended storage. The cashmere is still super soft and flawless.

The Town & Country I'm dating 50s due to other things I've seen on ebay with similar brand name. I think the buttons are pearl (not too sure) and has a 80% Spun Rayon fabric content which leads me believe that date is pretty solid. It still has the wash-away ink from the manufacturer as well.

Any general info on pricing info would be greatly appreciated!

Never known A&F vintage to have much value. I think the brand's recent image is a turnoff. You'll do better just highlighting the cashmere.

The T&C could be 60s too - western, but it's quite plain - the high priced ones usually have piping, two tones, embroidery. Would put them both in the $50ish range with offers.

Makes sense, I can see 60s too. I guess another reason I dated it earlier is because I found it right next to both of the Arrow Chevella shirts and in the process assumed it would be the same era. Thanks for the reply Jimmy always appreciated.
