What are the pit to pit measurements, and can you upload an image of the tag - is there anything on the back?

Only tag is the medium. Nothing inside or out. Can’t get measurements but let’s assume they’re in line with medium for now. The back is blank. No other images/words/tags.

I can't make out the note, (can you get a full shot of it) but this is really cool, if legit, historical!

Who wrote the note?

Is it listed somewhere for sale?

If it really is of that era, an M would be very small by today's standards.

Would probably be worth a small fortune specifically to the Harley archives.

Was able to find this in the Harley Archives, collar stitching matches. They had this to say:

Harley-Davidson's first t-shirt was introduced to customers in 1947 and included a Bar & Shield logo with wings.

Thank you so much. I just haven’t been able to find any of these shirts sold so what do you think is an appropriate listing price once I get it officially authenticated. I am just never deal with these very old archive pieces and it’s so hard to find a comp?
