Need help on identifying this apparently Vernon “Lefty” Gomez Baseball knitted cardigan. Item found along with old garments here in the Philippines. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
*someone commented on reddit (now deleted post) it may be his uniform for Boston Braves where he was sold by the New York Yankees in 1943 but he did not play a single game.

Re: Hall of Famer Vernon "Lefty" Gomez knitted Baseball cardigan (?)
I reached out to my pal Josh at In Vintage We Trust, and he feels it's likely a high-school varsity sweater with a coincidental name.13thvintage wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2026 11:17 am Need help on identifying this apparently Vernon “Lefty” Gomez Baseball knitted cardigan.
