Legit Check 90s Wizard AOP
I was recently looking on ebay to buy some crazy AOP wizard shirts from the 90s and found this one. I believe it could be by Morbid Rags but theres not much info online about this. Reason for posting here is that I have some concerns over its legitness. When I came across the listing, I used Google lens to see if there were any other available for sale on other sites. When I did, I found very few similar results, with only about 2 others for sale. One thing I did notice though was that they were all flipped and printed the other way (last photo). Additionally, I was looking closely at the print and noticed some parts where the design wasn't fully printed on to, which leaves blank lines. I have seen that in other bootleg AOPs (Grateful Dead Liquid Blue). Given this, it caused me to question the legitness of this item which is why I wanted to reach out here. I don't know why somebody would make a bootleg of this, but I felt its best to check anyways to know what I'm buying.
Re: Legit Check 90s Wizard AOP
It seems like such an obscure print to copy, typically the bootleggers go after ones that are $$. Also, AOP like this are a pain to duplicate - and from what I can see all the details are they. Yes, on yours it doesn't have full coverage, but yours is a bigger size than what I saw on etsy, which is a small.
Often they'll use the same screens for every size, and they don't cover the entire larger sizes.
The backwards print is interesting.
Compared to the other two I saw, they both have a strip on the back neck, whereas your neckline is raw.
Megatop, we actually don't have in our archive, but when I searched it - it's on an array of random 1990s prints, sometimes made in Bangladesh, not China.
There are too many obscurities here for me to start considering it to be a forgery.
